We typically welcome students in their final year, with a focus on wet-lab (biochemical) and/or dry-lab (bioinformatics) experience. Please check our website again in autumn for new openings.

NimaGen’s internship topics fall into three main themes: product improvement (storage, sustainability, transportation, robustness, cost reduction, etc.), development of a new kit/panel or piloting new technology, and addition/expansion of existing kits. Interns typically work on one or more projects, depending on progress and personal affinity.

Flexibility and Project Selection
As an agile company, our focus areas may shift. The final internship project is usually defined about a month before the start, in consultation with the student.

Application Requirements
To apply, submit a letter of motivation and CV. Selected candidates may be invited for an online or on-site interview.

Internship Conditions 

We offer:

• Excellent guidance in a supportive team
• Meaningful projects with real impact on our products or operations
• A monthly gross internship allowance of €300.

Available Internship Periods for 2026

• September start: Apply by May 1st. Selection is completed by June 1st. Possible themes: kit development for human genetics, oncology, or microbiology/virology.”
