Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS/MPS)
Next-generation Sequencing (NGS) or Massively Parellel Sequencing (MPS) library preparation protocols usually consist of a multi-step process, requiring costly reagents and substantial hands-on-time, the latter increasing the risk for PCR contamination and sample swapping. Nucleic Acid Extraction & Cleanup
Effective nucleic acid extraction, purification or clean-up is a critical step in a high-performance sequencing workflow, preparing DNA or RNA samples to be compatible with a sequencer. Clean-up of PCR samples or NGS/MPS libraries prior to sequencing, or removal of dye terminators post cycle sequencing can be performed using either magnetic bead (D-Pure™, AmpliClean™), resin-based (iX-Pure™), lysis (GenePurgeDirect™), or enzymatic (ExS-Pure™) methods. A magnetic bead-based chemistry is often utilized to generate capillary electrophoresis-ready and sequence-ready samples.
