The IDseek® mYSTR™ Y-Chromosomal STR Profiling Kit is a Reverse Complement (RC-PCR) based MPS library preparation solution designed for Y-STR haplotyping. It amplifies 30 Y-chromosomal STR markers and includes the rapidly mutating markers DYS449, DYS518 and DYS612 and the TXLNGY target. It enables the characterization of paternal lineages from unknown male trace donors. The kit facilitates multiplex targeted amplification, sequencing indexing, and adaptor addition in a single closed-tube reaction.   The generated amplicons are optimized for short fragment lengths and are compatible with Illumina® sequencing platforms, including MiSeq, (Qiagen/Verogen) MiSeq FGx, and NextSeq 1000. Depending on the platform, up to 768 samples can be multiplexed with 2x10 bp Unique Dual Index reads.
