CombiSTR™ MPS Library Normalization Kit (96 rxn) is a qPCR assay for relative read-depth normalization of CombiSTR™ libraries, enabling laboratories to balance sequencing output across samples prior to massively parallel sequencing.
Achieving consistent read depth in forensic MPS can be challenging, especially when working with casework samples or degraded or ancient DNA. Variations in sample quantity and quality often lead to uneven read depths: some samples fall below analysis thresholds, while others consume excessive sequencing capacity and increase overall costs. To address this, sample-to-sample normalization is essential.
