Targeted Resequencing of Cystic Fibrosis Associated CFTR Gene Mutations

Intended use

EasySeq™ CFTR Sequencing Kit, powered by patented Reverse Complement PCR (RC-PCR) technology, facilitates an accurate detection of published cystic fibrosis transmembrane regulator (CFTR) mutations in a targeted resequencing assay, that is purpose-designed for fast and efficient lab processing. 


EasySeq™ CFTR Sequencing Kit offers a one-tube single-reaction multiplex assay, comprising an optimized panel of 41 human CFTR gene coding exons, including a minimum of 20 bases upstream and downstream of each exon, plus 2 flanking intronic hotspot mutations (rs397508266 and rs75039782), providing a 100% gene coverage.

The multiplex RC-PCR generates 43 amplicons that can be sequenced on Illumina® benchtop platforms iSeq, MiniSeq, MiSeq, NextSeq and production-scale sequencers HiSeq and NovaSeq. 


The EasySeq™ CFTR Sequencing Kit contains two multiplex PCR primers pools and PCR Master Mix. Universal Index Plates and AmpliClean™ magnetic beads are ordered separately to complete the workflow from input DNA to sequencing-ready NGS libraries.


Please note: EasySeq™ CFTR Sequencing Kit is designed to sequence the set of 43 exonic targets using a two probe pool reaction. This requires two Unique Dual Index Plates for associated use.


The EasySeq™ CFTR Sequencing Kit allows direct amplification of DNA isolated from human peripheral blood, saliva or buccal swab.


Specimens should have an absorbance ratio (260/280) of ~1.8, regardless of the extraction method used. The kit is tested and validated for an input DNA amount of 20 ng.
